Bino harnesses - the enclosed chest system that carries binoculars protected but instantly accessible. The rest of the range; rangefinder and phone pouches, tethers, optic covers, game bags and range admin pouches, all built to the same standard.
Marsupial Gear carry systems for hunters and glassers
Marsupial builds the front-of-chest carry system - bino harness, rangefinder pouch, phone, tags and the small things you need in your hands quickly, as one modular kit rather than a bag with pockets.
We stock Marsupial for people who glass, walk and work with their optics out. The harnesses, pouches, optic covers, game bags are all built around the same idea: reach it without stopping, and without looking.
Why Advanced Outdoors stocks Marsupial Gear
Marsupial earns its place because the range is modular. You buy the harness once and then add exactly the pouches your setup needs, instead of replacing the whole thing when your kit changes.
One system, added to over time
Harness, rangefinder pouch, phone pouch, zippered pouches and tethers all attach to the same platform.
Optics protected and to hand
Enclosed harnesses keep binoculars dry and dust-free while still opening one-handed.
Reachable without looking
Layout and closures are built so optics come out quietly, while your eyes stay on the animal.
Covers for the rest of the kit
Scope, suppressor, muzzle and spotting scope covers protect optics in the pack and in the scrub.
Beyond the harness
Game bags, meat tarps, kill kits and range admin pouches — the same build quality applied past the chest rig.

How to choose a Marsupial carry setup
A harness is the one piece of gear you wear on every trip, so it is worth getting the configuration right rather than buying twice.
Read the bino harness guide-
Size it to your binoculars, not the brand
Measure the binoculars you own. An enclosed harness that is too generous lets them move, and one that is too tight is slow to open.
-
Decide on magnetic or not
The Enclosed harness closes magnetically and is fast. The NO MAG version exists for people who would rather keep magnets away from their kit.
-
Plan the pouches you will add
Rangefinder and phone pouches are the usual first two. Buying the harness with those in mind avoids a crowded chest later.
-
Protect the optics as well as carry them
A bino rain cover and a padded scope cover cost little next to the glass they are protecting.
-
Do not forget the exit
Game bags and a meat tarp are the difference between a clean recovery and a difficult one. They live in the pack, not on the harness.
Marsupial Gear in New Zealand conditions
Wet bush, steep country and long glassing sessions all put different demands on how you carry optics. The system is worth building around where you actually spend your time.
Long glassing sessions
Optics on your chest, rangefinder beside them, both out in one movement.

A chest system stays out of the way where a shoulder strap does not.

Marsupial Gear FAQs
What is Marsupial Gear best known for?
What is the difference between the Enclosed and NO MAG bino harnesses?
The Enclosed harness uses magnetic closures, which are fast and quiet to open one-handed. The NO MAG version does the same job with non-magnetic closures, for people who prefer to keep magnets well away from compasses, cards or other gear. Both carry the same way otherwise.
Can I add pouches to a harness I already own?
Yes - that is the point of the system. The rangefinder pouch, cellphone pouch, zippered pouch, Down Under pouch and eyeglass pouch all attach to the harness platform, and the Harness Extension Kit gives you more room to mount them.
Is Marsupial Gear only for hunting?
No. The harnesses and pouches suit anyone who carries binoculars for long periods - birders, trampers, farm and conservation work, and anyone glassing country. The meat care range is hunting-specific; the carry system is not.
Does Marsupial make clothing as well?
A small, deliberate range. The Sun Tech Hoodie is a lightweight hooded sun layer for long exposed days, and the Grid Fleece is a breathable mid layer. There are also belts and hats. It is not a full clothing system - for that, look at SITKA.
Why buy Marsupial Gear from Advanced Outdoors?
We carry the range deep enough that you can build a complete setup in one order rather than piecing it together, and we can tell you which harness and pouch combination suits your binoculars and the way you hunt.

Tell us what binoculars and rangefinder you run and how you like to carry them, and we will spec the harness and pouches that fit.
