Digiscoping is taking photos or video through an optic - binoculars, a spotting scope or a rifle scope - using a phone or camera. It gives you far more reach than a phone lens on its own, which is why it is useful for judging animals, recording birds and studying country at distance.
Magview digiscoping adapters for what you are already glassing
Magview connects your phone to your binoculars or spotting scope with a magnetic plate system, so getting a photo or a video is a two-second job rather than a fiddle with a clamp.
We stock Magview for hunters judging animals at distance, birders recording what they find, and anyone who has tried to hold a phone against an eyepiece and given up. The plate stays on the phone; the adapter stays on the optic.
Why Advanced Outdoors stocks Magview
Digiscoping only gets used if it is fast. Magview is in the range because the magnetic system removes the step that made people stop bothering.
Fast enough to actually use
A magnetic plate lines the phone up on its own. No clamping, no hunting for the sweet spot while the animal moves off.
Works with binoculars and spotters
The B1 Bino Ring covers binoculars; the S1 Spotting Scope Adaptor covers spotting scopes.
One plate, several optics
The plate lives on your phone. Add adapters for each optic you own rather than a separate rig for each.
Better calls at distance
Filming what you are glassing lets you review, judge and share it instead of arguing about what you saw.
What people use Magview for
Four situations where getting the phone onto the glass earns its keep.
Judging animals at distance
Record what you are looking at, zoom in later and make the call properly.

How to set up a Magview system
The system is two halves - something on the phone, something on the optic. Getting the combination right the first time is straightforward.
-
Start with the phone plate
The plate is what everything else attaches to. The Sync and stainless plates differ in profile and in whether you want wireless charging to keep working.
-
Match the adapter to the optic
B1 Bino Ring for binoculars, S1 Spotting Scope Adaptor for spotting scopes. Check your eyepiece diameter before ordering.
-
Think about your phone case
A thick case changes how the plate sits. Plan for the case you actually use, not the bare phone.
-
Keep charging in mind
If you rely on wireless charging, the Wireless Charging Plate is the version that does not force you to choose.

Magview FAQs
What is digiscoping?
How does the Magview system work?
A magnetic plate mounts to your phone or phone case. An adapter mounts to the optic - the B1 Bino Ring for binoculars or the S1 for spotting scopes. The phone snaps onto the adapter magnetically and lines itself up, so you are filming within seconds rather than clamping and adjusting.
Will Magview fit my binoculars or spotting scope?
The B1 and S1 cover a wide range of common eyepiece sizes, but it is worth checking your specific optic before ordering. Send us the make and model and we will confirm the fit.
Can I still charge my phone wirelessly with a plate fitted?
With the MagView Plate Wireless Phone Charging version, yes - that is exactly what it is for. The stainless steel and Sync plates are lower profile but sit between the phone and a wireless charger.
Is Magview only useful for hunting?
No. Birders, wildlife photographers, trampers and anyone doing observation work get the same benefit. Anywhere you are already looking through glass, a phone adapter turns that into a record you can keep.
Not sure which adapter fits your optic?
Send us the make and model of your binoculars or spotting scope and the phone you run, and we will confirm the right plate and adapter combination.
